1st of September 2016 Niclas Sjöberg became the new CEO for Borgestad Industries and Höganäs Bjuf AB
Niclas replaced Egil Friestad who after a long and faithful service decided to resign as CEO. Niclas has more than 20 years of experience from the refractory business and is both CEO and one of the founders for Macon AB, which was established in Gävle 2004. Borgestad Industries acquired the majority of the shares in Macon and Niclas has since then been a member of the management team.
Höganäs Bjuf inaugurates the world’s most modern plant for monolithic products
In 2015, Höganäs Bjuf took the strategic decision to develop a new generation of monolithic products with even better properties than those available on the market today. To ensure quality and safe deliveries, Höganäs Bjuf also decided to build the world’s most modern plant for the production of monolithic products in Bjuv,Sweden. The plant, which represents an investment of about 40 MSEK was inaugurated today.
The new factory has a floor area of approximately 1,000 m2 and is designed to produce 30,000 tonnes of monolithic products per year. High degree of automation and the latest mixing technology ensure high and consistent product quality. The factory is completely dust-free and designed with sustainability in mind.

Höganäs Bjuf invests in new plant in Sweden
Höganäs Bjuf AB has decided to build a brand new, top-modern refractory plant in Bjuv, Sweden. This plant will be used to manufacture the new generation of monolithic products featuring even better properties than the current ones. This is fully in line with the ambition to offer our customers a total solution, which in addition to a wide range of products also includes design, engineering, logistics, supervision and installation.

Macon AB acquires AG-Port Oy
Macon AB, part of the Höganäs Bjuf Group in Sweden, has acquired the majority of shares of AG-Port Oy in Finland. The Share purchase agreement was signed 1 June 2015.
Höganäs Bjuf is the leading refractory company in the Nordics and operates in more than 70 countries globally. Subsidiaries are established in Europe, the Middle East and East Asia. Höganäs Bjuf has delivered refractory materials to the Finnish industry since 1936.
Macon AB is one of the leading refractory installation companies in Sweden, serving industrial customers mainly in the energy, waste, pulp & paper and steel sector.
